The State of Things.

In recent times, silence is overrated. Some people say that silence is golden but I beg to differ because in most cases, people keep silence not out of wisdom but fear! 

Fear of intimidation, fear of the press and even fear of regrets. Don't say what you will later regret has been the order of the day and people are wallowing in misery simply because they can't speak. 

Of a truth, being a talkative person is of dire consequence but being timid to the  point of death, oppression and suffocation is a worse scenario. 

Simply because you cannot speak, they have taken away your mandate, dreams and even birthrights! Be shy but let it not stand in your way of success. Be short if you must but let it not stand in your way of success and be quiet if it is the best option that serves that moment but let it not stand in your way of success but in all, I would that you are bold! 

Be bold enough to ask questions where you need clarification, be handsome enough to stand your ground in the face of opposition and be beautiful enough to defend your certificates. The best way to do these is to have good characters that make you stand out! 

Stand up for the truth irrespective of who is against it. Speak against violence in anywhere that it is manifested and stand in good terms with God if you must succeed. 

I am not the first man on Earth to have said these but I want you to hear them afresh because with the way things are going, you need somebody to remind you of your responsibility towards the socio-economic growth of the continent which you inhabit. 

That is the current state of things and I believe that I have briefed you. Now, go out and act. 

Know when silence is not the best solution and act because if you fail to, all the people that know you to be a failure will say they were right after all. 

Do not keep quiet  when things are going wrong lest you be counted as part of the erring group but stand firmly on truth! 

Though your integrity might be tested, if you stand too long, you win. 

Victory becomes a part of you when you experience it consecutively. There is no room for failure. 

Stir your boat in the right direction and let your words pave way for you!
