INTEGRITY

Not everyone would pass this test considering the fact that we are in such a country like Nigeria because it takes a whole lot of it to stand.

Life is not easy. Most of us have ended up failing where we thought we would have excelled. Geebra Stanley is not full of himself. Hence, he does not take things too personal as to insist that everybody he comes in contact with must be of the same opinion, church or political affiliation before he could have something meaningful to do with such a person. It is good to note that where one comes from should not be a barrier to one’s aspirations so long as they are good. It is not even good to judge people without knowing what they think especially if that judgement is based on one’s physical posture.

Only few people would be able to stand if they are given the opportunity to carter for a large organization, community or even a nation. Geebra Stanley, though big would still say, “bring what you have, let me add the little effort I can and let us see this project work.” Whereas an average person would see barriers and excuses everywhere to pick all in a bid to avoid accomplishing such a task. Let me tell you something, if you want to fail, there are always a thousand reasons to do so but if you could put them aside and make use of available resources, then you can arrive at a successful end. Life is not all about wishing to achieve somethings without working out plans to achieve them. At times, you have go out of your way to make things happen because human beings are not fixed as trees. If where you are is not comfortable enough for you, step out there and make things happen. Nobody will stop you so long as they are legal.

I am not of the school of thought that you should blame the nature for every misfortune that comes your way, at times, you should take responsibility and own up to expectations.

Life is a bunch of choices not excuses. Hence, the need to make good ones that would propel us into achieving our maximum potentials rather than leading us into diabolic acts.

Some of us have decided to taste poverty, not as though we don’t want to come out of it but just in a bid to know if actually it kills so that we could survive and testify. 

If you have said, “I cannot make it in life.” Simply because of the things you were seeing then, it is good to re-say those words in the affirmative sense now because there is no limit to what you we can achieve if only we believe. Prosperity is ours depending on how we understand the basic principles of being at one’s best. Imagine having to wake up in the morning and the only option you have in order to survive is to beg simply because you cannot steal. You beg for salt and pepper, you beg for airtime and transport fees but may I tell you that you are destined to be a giver.

Life is spent in stages. Hence, the Bible’s assertion that, “There is time for everything under the sun.” Now, I do not care how long you have been in that dungeon but if you sincerely want to follow the path of the righteous mortals, you can make it.

This is an open invitation to those who think that the true message from Christianity is to be perpetually trapped in the obscure place of non-fruitfulness, lack of knowledge and understanding and utter deprivation of the good things in this world. May I inform you that the current Chief of staff is not even a Christian. So, anybody can get to the top if he or she knows the onion. It is needless to say that religion should not divide us but act as a binding force to keep the country together through peace.

My point is this, anybody could be your friend but not everybody could stand by you when the storms blow tough. If you are given the opportunity to bear a grudge against someone has wronged you (especially someone from your own house), please, discard such an opportunity for it is not good for you. Normally, if you are the type of person that says the truth, problems would always come your way to know where you stand from time to time. Never think that paying back evil for evil is the way forward. Let there be an internal order. Some of us cannot even stand the sight of blood. So, why shed it on the altar of ignorance? The world would become a whole better place if we see another person and not feel like murdering him or her through gossips, backbiting and slandering through name callings.

Imagine not being able to exchange pleasantries with a person simply because of what you have heard people say about the person in the time past. Maybe, you heard the stories of how that someone’s great grandparents sold one of your relatives in the olden days and you now feel like you should be allowed to retaliate. Well, that was then. Come over it.

It sounds funny but it is true. At times, we think that the reason why we are not getting along well with people is because of one mistake or the other that they have made without knowing that the core cause of it is the mental image of the persons we have in our minds and not their facial looks which may change from time to time depending on the weather. Change how you see people not how you think they should behave because it may never come to pass.
