THE LEGEND OF IMIANO

Before Imiano was due to go for his second missionary journey, he was already allowed to take up arms. So, he went to Ezeguy to seek advice. 

Ezeguy was the oldest man in the village. In fact, he is suspected to be older than the village itself but he was still vying for the ancient throne！It was not easy for him though, as some youths were eyeing the seat as well but he was not deterred. His voice was audible, his stamina appreciable and his performance, a force to reckon with.

Let's flow with the vibe.

CHAPTER ONE

The missionary journey comes just three times in a full year and only young boys are allowed to go for it. Imiano was trying to squeeze himself through the crowd when he heard the voice of Ezeguy and he froze.

As the old man spoke, he could see a role model in him. It was not difficult noticing that he had fallen in love with Ezeguy's voice！

Let me wow you a bit, Imiano is also a strong person but he likes following instructions and Ezeguy was just the right man he could learn from because most of the other elders in the village are known to be violent, in alcohol or are womanizing. So, he deemed it fit to play safe！

By being on Ezeguy's side, it means that one will not steal, gamble or tell lies but some youths couldn't keep to this. Only Imiano had the privilege. So, he built himself up！

Legend has it that anyone who failed to return from the first missionary will not be seen as an asset in the village. So, when Imiano returned, there was jubilation everywhere.

At the return of Imiano, pounded yam was made, break fast were served and a lot of activities took place but Imiano was not happy because a thing more important to him was taken away - his belt.

That was his dad's last gift to him before he died.

On the night of Arzimuthal Parade when all songs had been sung, Imiano took up his spear to address the locals. This is a village where if you are not careful, someone could just throw you stones from among the people. So, he always held his spear to avoid stories that touch the heart.

It was the night before their first missionary journey commenced. So, he briefed them on the game plan and shared the little quotes he had gathered over the years. So, they were energized.

They laid ambush on the Akpotiki people along the mkpotuta-Magadiri highway and achieved victory.

Throughout the siege, his belt was on his side.
